Before we meet up...

I'm excited to meet up with you and help tame your tech! Before we do meet, please take a few minutes to prepare for my visit. Do you already have all of the following kinds of software downloaded, installed and running on your Mac(s):

  • Free anti-malware software like AVG?
  • A free comprehensive password manager like LastPass?
  • Inexpensive backup software that works over the internet like BackBlaze or iDrive?

If you do NOT have all of the above, please click on the links I've provided and download each of those items. You can install and set up each of these applications for yourself or have me do the work for you if you like. 

Lastly, if you'd like me to help you remotely — that's when I can provide remote control tech support over the internet! — you'll need a free application called "TeamViewer" which you can get be clicking here. When the download has completed, open it and double-click the installer package, which looks like an opened moving box:

The TeamViewer installation will walk you through the process. You'll be asked for your Mac's password. When the install has completed, it will let you know if it was successful. Once installed, I cannot remote into your computer unless you give me two identification numbers which ONLY exist on your Mac and change: that means I won't be able to log into your Mac without your assistance.
